Directed by Stuart A Gosling, Image Dynamic Productions Ltd. Watch it on Yesterday Went Too Soon (CD Single) & Feeder : The Singles (DVD Edition)
The Yesterday Went Too Soon video was the first video to see the lads and their instruments lost inside a really big greenhouse. It's ok though because Grant finally gets over that bird from the Cement video and falls in love with a lovely Asian woman before living happily ever after.
The video is abit like watching a low-budget version of the Just The Way I'm Feeling video. It has an 'old-film' approach to it and features various irrelevance such as a set of dice and a watch showing the time (7:45 for anyone interested).
It all kicks-off in the above-mentioned Greenhouse with the guys performing the title track from the Yesterday Went Too Soon album. Grant and Taka play their thing whilst poor old Jon has to play the drums underneath a washing line, pants an'all.
As we progress, we see Grant in an old fashioned house with the missus in the kitchen, presumably doing the washing up or baking cakes or some such womanly things. Still, the poor thing is so tired out she collapses on the sofa with Grant. Cue close ups of her face and cleavage. Top draw.
Eventually we end up back in the garden and it turns out to have been all just another one of Pamela Ewin's dreams. Awww.
Whilst we like the video considerably, we do feel that there is an unnecesary amount of close-ups of Grant's mouth. We presume that, after editing the video it was found to be forty-five seconds too short for the actual song, and thus the void was filled with Grantley's teeth.
Well, his dad was a dentist, you know. He'd be so proud.
